A Gentle Leap is a small, mindful change that stems from the intention to take care of your body and mind.
The Leaps are Gentle in that they are rooted in being kind with yourself; listening to what your body needs in each moment; learning how to truly take care of yourself (over time!) and having the courage to take small Leaps.
A Gentle Leap is not another to-do list to create more pressure in our already busy lives. It’s not about “shoulds” – I should take a bath, I should eat more vegetables, I should try meditating. It is about being soft with yourself, listening to your body, and experimenting with different practices to learn what helps you live a more nourished and connected life.
Most of the mindful practices found here don’t require much time. It’s about starting small, being Gentle, and taking a new Leap.
The simple Leaps I share with you have changed the path of my life in significant and unexpected ways. Where they will they take you? My hope in sharing my experience is that it will inspire you to take a Leap, and thus a new path will become illuminated that you can cultivate for the rest of your life.
My journey began with the question: Why Self-Care? If you have the same question, this post is a great place to start.
Perhaps it’s time for a Leap? Check in with yourself – what do you need in this moment?
Are you feeling hungry for a nourishing snack or something sweet? Do you need to decompress and relax in a long bath? Are you preparing for postpartum and a baby? How about a new recipe for a cup of slow tea? Or maybe something more creative like making your own beeswax wraps? Lots of options!
I hope to hear from you in the comments about your experience. By sharing we can create a community to support each other to continue, to begin, to experiment, and to just be heard. If you are interested in working together, please visit my consulting site.
With gratitude and support,
Lisa
