Holistic Preconception & Fertility Nutrition

Preparing for pregnancy through holistic nutrition supports your body and mind to be ready for the demands of growing a baby. Fertility is an area where nutrition and lifestyle changes can be particularly supportive. Baby will be depending on you for all of its nutritional needs, so beginning a Nutritional Therapy protocol 6 months to 1 year before trying to conceive is recommended. But it’s never too late to begin! Please reach out if you have questions.

Nutritional Therapy addresses imbalances in the body through focusing on the 6 foundations – nutrition, digestion, blood sugar regulation, fatty acid balance, mineral balance, and hydration.

Nutritional Therapy is a science-based approach which seeks to address the root cause, not just the presenting symptoms. The approach focuses on food first, which includes nutritional deficiencies, difficulty assimilating nutrients, food sensitivities, hormonal imbalances, environmental toxin exposures, stress, and autoimmune issues like Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

All packages include a customized plan with specific foods, herbs, and supplements to nourish your unique body, foods to avoid, mindfulness, and lifestyle recommendations.

Holistic Pregnancy Nutrition

Now that you are eating for two, it’s even more important to incorporate high quality whole foods that work for your body. When you are pregnant, each time you sit down to eat you have both the opportunity and responsibility to nourish yourself (and baby!) with nutrient-dense foods.

How we choose to nourish our body and mind during pregnancy impacts digestion (bloating, gas, acid reflux, heartburn), energy levels, mood swings, hormone fluctuations, ability to manage morning sickness, sleep, and stress management. As our bodies change weekly during pregnancy, Nutritional Therapy can help to manage mom’s changing symptoms and provide essential nutrients baby needs for growing.
