gentle leaps to inspire a more nourishing & connected life

lisa russell

Gentle Leaps blossomed from my desire to inspire others to live a more nourishing & connected life. In my late 20s, I felt disconnected from my body…a bit dead inside, despite my daily yoga practice. Simultaneously I could sense there was something more. I could touch this feeling of aliveness and I longed for it to permeate my whole bodymind.

This led me out of an intense and successful nine-year career as a financial planner, and into a contemplative training period at a Zen Buddhist monastery for five years. Reemerging from the Zen Center, I formally studied holistic nutrition and founded a Consulting Practice so I could help nonprofits and small businesses thrive.

Gentle Leaps is how I can share my journey with you. There are no “shoulds” here; just mindful practices & a community of humans that support each other.

What Will Nourish You Today?

Our attention is precious. By slowing down, we can mindfully direct our attention to engage in activities that deeply nourish us. Doing something differently for just 10 minutes a day is enough. In this way we can begin to take the simple, Gentle Leaps that lead to entirely new and exciting paths for our lives.
